Julia Reiss is a writer & humorist based in New York City, born and bred in Los Angeles, California. She attended NYU's Gallatin School of Individualized Study, where she earned her B.A. in social theory and politics.
Julia is an Associate Producer on Problematic with Moshe Kasher (pilot), which was picked up by Comedy Central in 2016. She is also a writer on truTV's Comedy Knockout (Season 2B).
Julia has bylines in various publications including Vogue, Thrillist, Complex, and Manrepeller. She has also produced branded content for corporate clients including Moët & Chandon, Perrier, LOLA and Tipsy Elves.
Julia started doing standup comedy in 2012, performing at at venues including the Comedy Store, the Hollywood Improv, Gotham Comedy Club and The Stand. But these days, she prefers a pen to a microphone.
